My Ipod is fun again.  I just have to let everybody know how much better my Ipod is with this replacement firmware.  Really breaths new life into your Ipod.  The best part is the installers and software all work properly.  I was trying Ipod linux, but like many things I doesn't install properly without practically recoding the whole installer or worse.  Rock Box installs easily and  works properly.  It adds tons of new features to your Ipod including the ability to boot into the original apple firmware if you want to.  Give it a shot.
